Unleashing the 80/20 Rule in your Law Firm (*)

In 1906, Vilfredo Pareto discovered the 80/20 rule, aka “the law of the vital few”.

What does this have to do with your law practice?

  • 20% of your clients provide 80% of your income
  • 20% of your marketing brings you 80% of your clients
  • 80% of your day is rendered impotent, effecting only 20% of your results.

It’s not always an 80/20 split. Many times it’s 90/10, 95/5, or even 99/1, but there IS A BIG SKEW towards a little bit of this or that, having a disproportionately Big Effect on your whole practice.

This rule is EVERYWHERE

  • 93% of all attorney websites are worthless hunks of junk, have 0 – 5 visitors from google a day, when they could have 100 a day.
  • 90% of the 35,193 DUI leads I provided to hundreds of attorneys over the past 3 years went un-retained.
  • 15% of YOUR CLIENTS eat up 70-80% of your time in addressing their issues.

Last Sunday, I spoke and recorded a 33 min talk on:

Unleashing the 80/20 In Your Law Practice:

  • How to save Hundreds of Billable Hours a Year,
  • Get Fewer, Higher-Paying Clients
  • Exit the Hamster Wheel of 80 hour Workweeks

There’s some REALLY good stuff in here that You should listen to, and I dare say, implement in your practice right away.

I talked about managing how you answer your phones, increase your authority with potential clients and get them to retain you far more often, and more.
